App Icons

Created App Store and Google Play icons using a data driven approach, taking into consideration market trends and conversion rates as well as brand requirements.

In all of the below examples, I structure a multivariate testing approach with different designs to understand which creative variants end users respond best to. The result is a great outcome for the client in terms of design style that also translated into a lift in their conversion - meaning more installs at a lower cost.

MySignSays App Icon

The client who commissioned these icons is a major operator of Tarot apps in the Google Play store. They requested a new app icon and design style. Keeping with their brand, I used bold zodiac signs and a blue/pink gradient color scheme. The end result were several variants, with the final version converting at a higher rate than their previous icon. This provided the client a fresh look and better business metrics.

Play To Win App Icon

In the App Store and Google Play many apps update their icons for every season. This helps an app stay fresh and relevant throughout the year. Working with Play to Win Casino, I opted for holiday color palettes of red and green and also designed a more neutral blue seasonal variant. This provided the client seasonal options that were not linked to specific holidays but evoked the holiday feel.
